The World Famous Towson University Marching Band (TUMB) devotes the last week and a half of their summer to band camp and learning the show for the year. Band Camp consists of roughly 7-8 days of twelve hour rehearsals and during the school year we rehearse for six hours during the week and all day Saturday.
As a Color Guard member, and especially as a Weapon Line member I spend lots of extra time each rehearsal learning work and perfecting my skills. In 2014 the TUMB went on tour, performing four shows in less thatn 24 hours. Being a member of the TUMB you learn to work will all types of people in high stress situations. You learn to push through everything from jammed fingers, bruised noses, injured knees, suburn, and all types of weather from wind to snow!
